Sinister Wisdom reading at Carmichael’s Bookstore in Louisville, KY on June 15th at 7pm

The contributing authors, artists, and activists of the Sinister Wisdom Oral Herstorian Collection shared their stories, poetry, and music that shaped the rise of the Southern Lesbian movement including Laura Shine, Carol Kraemer, Phyllis Free (Yer Girlfriend), Marge Van Gilder, Joyce Hopkins, Bettie Keeling (River City Wimmin), Calla & LauRose Felicity, and Carla Wallace. The event featured readings from Sinister Wisdom 93: Southern Lesbian Feminist Herstory 1968-1994, Sinister Wisdom 98: Landykes of the South, and Sinister Wisdom 104: Lesbianima Rising.
